ESA REGIONALS CHAMPIONSHIP 2006

Nicole Finaske, Eastern Surfing Association`s SFL District Champion in Womens Shortboarding placed 3rd making it to Semi Finals at this years ESA Southeast Regionals Championship. Nicole recently got out of surgery a few weeks ago making it impossible for her to train or surf. Her first day back in the water was during the competition. The waves consisted of 6-7 feet all weekend. Nicole said she had the roughest time getting out the first day of the competition but was relieved that her heat didn`t start until Sunday morning when the waves became some what cleaner. Nicole is one of the most dedicated surfers I have ever spoken with, her love for the sport is unimaginable, she came out to Regionals without any kind of training, any kind of wave action , and she received one of the highest scores in her heat which moved her ahead to Semi Finals. We are very proud to have her represent our SFL District.
